Code Composer Studio (CCS11.2.0.00007) Error On Fresh Install

Hi Everyone,
I hope all is well. I am currently having issues with installing Code Composer Studio version CCS11.2.0.00007, and was wondering if anyone has seen the following issue before?

The installer works great up until the final steps. It seems to have issues with the emupack installer.

The CCS installer brings up a warning prompt that the emupack installer exited with an error code. I did do some digging, and pulled up the error log for the emu pack installer and found the following information:

Error copying file from packed archive C:/Users/kuhnst/AppData/Local/Temp/CCS_E2~1/EMU_TI/TI_EMU~1.EXE to C:/ti/ccs1120/ccs/ccs_base/emulation/analysis/bin/SCDecoderUnit.dll
There has been an error.
Unable to copy file
Exiting with code 1

I have a hunch that there may be a permissions issue with the installer, but wanted to get someone elses input on it. I am unsure if this helps,

but I did try rebooting my computer and trying again.

I also tried force running the installer as admin to see if that would help, with no luck as well.

I haven't seen that particular issue.

I have seen something somewhat similar in the below post:

However that appears different since a reboot would clear up any locked files.

Do you have any antivirus running? If so, can you try temporarily disabling it and itry a new install?

That's an excellent idea. I have not tried disabling the antivirus yet, or manually installing the emupack.exe.

I will give that a shot and keep in touch.

Hi Ki,

I hope all is well.

I have a quick update for you, but using your suggestion; we disabled the Antivirus on my computer and it fixed the install issue that I was having.

I appreciate the help!

Good to hear that you resolved the issue. Thank you for the update!

For my own curiosity, would you mind sharing which vendor the antivirus is? It is good for us to know which ones can cause issues. I know McAfee and Kaspersky have caused issues for various customers in the past. Curious if there are any others to note.

No worries. I would be more than happy to share. :)

The antivirus that I have installed on my machine is McAfee. I am unsure if the following information would help others, but the offline installer didn't work at all with McAfee running in the background. Using McAfee's bypass mode didn't work either. It had to be fully disabled for the install to work properly.

Thank you for sharing. Yes, there are definitely known issues with McAfee and CCS.
