What's are the main differences between CCS v3.3.x and v4?

Hi,

Currently we have two different work teams in two different companies. We need exchange source code generated in CCS, but at this moment, we cannot have available the same version.

One company is using CCS v.3.3.x and other company is using CCS v4.

Could you provide information or a document which details the main differences between both version in order to decide if we can continue working with both versions in parallel?

The differences are huge. I would start with this presentation:

Note that the build tools used by CCS are the same (at least they are updated versions of the compiler) so the generated executables (*.out files) are the same format and output generated from v4 can run with v3 and vice-versa (with some exceptions). However the project file format (*.pjt) are very different between the versions and not compatible.

Reading that article, I could not understand one thing??

Will it be possible to include a library file(.lib) built with CCS 3.3 into a project being built with CCS 5.1.0.09000???

If there are provisions to include that library file directly, kindly please do intimate me !!
