CCSv5.1 M4 License setup wizard bug

If I select "Specify a license server" but leave port edit box empty the "next" button is grayed out. I have to specify any port number and then edit licenselocation.txt manually and remove the port number so the CSS will try to connect to default port number or specify 27000. Not a big deal, but I have to know that default port number is 27000

  • Michael,

If you have a valid <licenselocation.txt> file in your CCS installation directory (check here for its location) then it should not be necessary to through the Licensing menu from the IDE - I usually don't do this when I install CCS versions in my PC.

Using the IDE to input the license server information will write to the <licenselocation.txt> file, therefore a complete port/IP assignment is required.

The port is configurable on the license server, therefore it can assume any value.

    Best regards,

    Rafael

Right, and empty value as well. Empty value means default port but now "Finish" button is grayed out until I enter any port value

  • Hi,  Something similar is happenning to me.

We have a couple of floating licenses with a server. The firewall in the server is deactivated and I can access the server webpage with the 8080 port from my computer.

When I enter the adress (IP) and port number for my license server. The next button is grayed out and  The finish button becomes active.  When I click finish nothing happens.  The demo license is still running and i don't get a check that CCS5 is even trying to reach the server.  Can you please help me.
