Hello,
I am trying to start a new CCS 11.2 project for the MSP430F5438A microcontroller. However, when I try to do that, I don't see it listed as a possible part number. Is this a bug? Please see attached image for a better description of what I'm talking about. The list of part numbers goes up to "MSP430F5438", but doesn't have "MSP430F5438A" listed.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!
Hi adevries,
I tested CCS11.1, looks normal, I can find MSP430F5438A, maybe 11.2 have some issue for this, thanks for your feedback, I will test CCS11.2 and feedback to CCS team.
And you can use CCS11.1, or use MSP430F5438 in CCS11.2
Thanks!
Best Regards

Hi Johnson,
Thanks for the reply. I will plan to use MSP430F5438 in version 11.2. Can you tell me what the difference is by selecting MSP430F5438 instead of MSP430F5438A? Will my project still compile correctly? Or will it use the headers specific to the MSP430F5438?
Thanks
Hi adevries,
Please refer this document to find the differents between F5438 and F5438A:
