Unable to Install Compiler TI v5.2.7

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD3138

Hello,

I was trying to install the TI 5.2.7 compiler to use with the UCD3138 Lab Configurations. Code Composer directed me to this website to install: https://software-dl.ti.com/codegen/non-esd/downloads/

However, the website says it is "undergoing scheduled maintenance" for the past week. I also used the "install compiler tools" option from within Code Composer, but it cannot connect to the repositories.

How do I install this compiler to use with my projects?

Thanks,

Ryan

  • Ryan,

That site is not something that is accessible via a browser.  I am guessing that maybe you were checking for updates in CCS and that url was shown in a message when it was checking an update site.

Do you need 5.2.7 or would 5.2.9 be ok?  5.2.9 is the latest patch release on the 5.2 stream and is available from our download site:

    https://www.ti.com/tool/download/ARM-CGT

Scroll down the versions on the left and the one at the bottom is 5.2.9.

    Regards,

    John

  • Hi John,

Thanks for replying quickly! The CCS project I am trying import was compiled with v5.2.7, but I supposed 5.2.9 would work. I mostly need it for the 5.2 stream's legacy COFF. I went to the site, and while there are other versions available, 5.2.9 does not have a download link.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Ryan

  • Ryan,

The links are there but for some reason they are labeled as documentation.

Not sure what is wrong with the site but if you click on those Windows, Linux... links you will get the compiler.  As this compiler is older it will take you through an export screening process first.

    Regards,

    John
