CCS v4 crashing extremely often

I'm working with the C6472 6-core microprocessor. I'm doing lots of compiles and then uploading the new file to my evm board to try the results. I'm to the point where one out of 4 times code composer will become unresponsive and I'll have to force quit it. It sometimes happens when trying to halt the cores, sometimes when trying to upload the new version to the board, sometimes when trying to restart the cores. Code composer always crashing would be bad enough, but for some reason, each time it crashes, when I restart the program, it has to rebuild the active project from scratch, taking 1-2 minutes. This adds up when it's happening every 5 minutes. I know I'm not giving you a lot to go on fixing the crash issue; i know there are some logs I can provide to help, but I'm not sure where they are located. Let me know what info you need to help chase this down and I'll get that info for you. Thanks.

I'm running version 4.2.3.00004 and am running on Windows 7 64-bit Professional.

Eclipse Log: 5826.EclipseError.log

Unfortunately there were no crash dump logs.

It's running on the TMS320C6472 EVM evaluation board. Is that what you mean?

Are you using a gel file? I recommend adding an OnPreFileLoaded function that resets the core. This will cause the CPU core to automatically be reset just prior to loading code. Here's how it would look in the gel file:

OnPreFileLoaded()

{

GEL_Reset();

}

I have found this to make a big difference in overall stability on certain boards/programs so I hope it will help you too. There might also be some kind of software issue at play here. That is you may have a stack overflow, uninitialized pointer, etc. I have collected some of these common issues in the following wiki article:
