Using CCS V7.4

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS570LS3137

I'm trying to debug a TMS570LS3137 project, but when clicking in the left margin of the c code, instead of a breakpoint being inserted at this line, I get a pop-up asking for a bookmark. There are no right-click options to insert a breakpoint.

Using CCS 7.3, I have no problems creating a breakpoint.

Is there a setting that turns off the creation of a breakpoint: I've never encountered the problem before?

Unfortunately I don't have installation privileges on the CCS 7.4 PC to load CCS 7.3, and am required to use that PC.

Help, please!

  • That's odd. It works just fine for me in CCS 7.4 with my LS3137 board. I can double-click to set a breakpoint or right-click to bring up the context menu to set a breakpoint:

Can you set a breakpoint using the breakpoints view? Can you set a breakpoint in the disassembly view? Can you provide a screenshot of the CCS IDE?

    Thanks

  • Thanks - the owner of the laptop had another try and breakpoints worked fine... No explanation why the change.
