Need to support 10+ year old code. Can't find original Code Composer Stuidio v4.10 (v4.12) licenses.

I have to modify some C code written for the TMS320LFC2407 DSP.

Our old documentation states that they used TI Code Composer Studio V4.10 (or V4.12) to compile/debug the code.

They used some serial app to flash the EEPROM

They used the XDS510PP PLUS Digital Spectrum Emulator for debugging

I found where our XDS510PP is located.

I cannot find any in-house copies of TI Code Composer Studio V4.10 (or V4.12)

Also I have no idea what kind of serial app is required to flash the TMS320LFC2407 EEPROM?

How do I get the necessary licenses and software?

Also, what kinds of device drivers would be required?

We are currently using Windows 10 Enterprise Edition (64 bit), and we still have some Windows 7 64 bit computers.

  • Hello,

Our old documentation states that they used TI Code Composer Studio V4.10 (or V4.12) to compile/debug the code.

I assume it refers to "Code Composer" (CC) and not "Code Composer Studio" (CC). The CC line predates the entire CCS line.

In any case, you need a tools version that supports F24x. The latest version of the tools to support this is CCSv3.3. However, you can also use CCv4.12 since that is what your existing code was likely written with.

These versions of the tools are not available for free download. Please start a private E2E conversation with me to discuss your options.

    Thanks
