"Error 0x80000200/-1135" with eZdspF28335

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CODECOMPOSER, TMS320F28335

Hello, I am using a eZdspF28335 board and I am having connectivity problems. It was working fine for some time. Sometimes it lost connection during debbuging, but I was able to connect again to it. Nowadays, every time I try to connect to it, I get this message on CodeComposer:

Error connecting to the target:

Error 0x80000200/-1135

Fatal Error during: OCS,

Unrecoverable emulation error

The onboard emulator is recognized by CodeComposer and is USB enumerated. I am running CodeComposer on Windows (both XP and Vista), and the board appears on Device Manager every time I connect it. Apparently, the hardware seems to be working fine.

The first time this problem ocurred I was running CodeComposer 4 on Windows Vista. While I was trying to figure out the problem, I found that I was able to connect to the board using another computer, running CodeComposer 3.3 on Windows XP. But, after three weeks it also started to show problems. The last time I was able to connect, I could load and debug a program, but the connection was lost after some time and I never could connect again.

First of all, what does "Error 0x80000200/-1135" mean?

  • The error doesn't point to any one specific reason for the connection problem but some common reasons for emulation errors are driver issues (driver not installed properly, not the correct version etc), and configuration/target issues.

Did anything change between the time that the connection was working and stopped working? Were any drivers or CCS updated during this time?

Is it possible that a CSM password is programmed into the chip and it is locked

Also is it possible to try connecting an external emulator such as XDS510USB to this board or trying with another board? That could help isolate the issue further. It is possible that the device may somehow be locked or damaged and trying the connection with different emulators could help narrow that down.

  • Hi,

I was trying to run my code on eZdsp TMS320F28335 and I came up with to problems: first I tired to find which port and pins I have to choose for scoping the  EPwm1Regs.CMPA,half.CMPA. I am not sure but I think I have to choose P8 and pins 9 through 14. Also make SW1 in 0110 position and also for JR4 choose the configuration B.  After all I got just 3.3 v instead of getting square wave, so I m wondering maybe I picked the wrong port and pins. Second after 2 or 3 days I am getting this error: Error connecting to the target: Error 0x80000200/-1135 Fatal Error during: OCS, Unrecoverable emulation error . Please let me know how can I find the correct port and pins also how can I solve the error and what is that error means.

    Thanks,

    Sally
