Trouble installing compiler

Guys – More than a bit of a problem in upgrading CCS.  Downloaded 12 got a warning about the compiler on the machine not being used and suggested an update – which I have tried.  However, when doing this I get the following:

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed

session context was:(profile=epp.package.cpp, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).

Problems downloading artifact: osgi.bundle,com.ti.cgt.arm.5.2.help,5.2.0.

  • Hi Bob,

got a warning about the compiler on the machine not being used and suggested an update – which I have tried.

I'm a bit confused what the warning might have been. Did you import a project that was using a compiler version not available in you CCS 12 install and prompted and update to get it?

    Problems downloading artifact: osgi.bundle,com.ti.cgt.arm.5.2.help,5.2.0.

Were you trying to specifically install TI ARM compiler 5.2.0?

    Thanks

    ki

  • Have no idea.  Was tryin g to install MSP340 GCC tools and msp432 tool chain

  • When checking for updates and installing them myself, I had something unusual happen. It installed TI ARM compiler 5.2.0 despite it not being an option in the list of detected updates. I'm not sure what happened there. The update was successful however. Something similar must have happened to you.

Were you trying to install this via CCS App Center? We typically do not bundle the GCC tools with CCS.
