Getting CCSv4 to use correct e-mail and browser

I don't use Internet Explorer or Outlook/Outlook Express and have set the "use external browser" to firefox. However, CCS still tries to send exception reports using some Microsoft program (I get a warning with the ie logo) which of course doesn't work as there is no e-mail defined there.  CCS also still opens Internet Explorer so I have to copy the link over to Firefox and open it there (Internet Explorer is ONLY allowed to talk to Microsoft Update).

Is there a way to fix this or is this just because someone used Microsoft tools to create CCS?

 

System: 

Windows XP

Firefox 4.0.1 (set as default browser)

Thunderbird 3.1.10 (set as default mail)

    The email tool uses MAPI to send email and it will pick the default MAPI client. I have read that sometimes email clients will compete with each other to claim the default setting, so perhaps a Microsoft application has reclaimed the MAPI default.

    You should be able to set it back to Thurderbird using the Tools -> Options -> Application menu in Firefox.
