Simon Quin

I have just installed Code Composer from a file I downloaded today. I installed it and selected one down from the Platinum level during installation. When I ran this application I was told I need a license. I tried the register online option which took me to my account login page. I logged in and was asked for an Activation ID. I don't have one. What do I do?

Hello,

You have several options to obtain a license. If you did not purchase a full license, you will not have an activation code. You can still activate the 30-day evaluation period of obtain the free bundled license without purchasing a full license. If you wish to purchase a full license, you can do so from the TI eStore:

Thanks you for your assistance so far. I have programmed a TMS320F28035PNT which is just one of the TI processors in our system (others are ARM based). I have Code Studio installed on my desk top PC where all development has been done to date. We are now starting to roll out a small batch of Alpha release lasers. Rather than take the lasers to my desk top I thought it prudent to take my lap top to the lasers. So I have a desk top installation and I did not raise a purchase order to buy a license for this. I simply want to duplicate this set up on my lap top. I cannot remember how this was installed (this part of the project was handed over to me by another division).

Perhaps in the light of this further information you could provide step by step instructions as to how I should proceed.

Simon - you can use one node-locked license for two PC (one for your desktop and one for the laptop).

You can do this online but you will need the login to http://www.ti.com/activatesoftware of whoever got the original license.
