I'm wondering if there's a shortcut to open files instead of searching through the directories within a project? I'm looking for something equivalent to what VSCode has with "ctrl+p".
There is the "Open Resource" dialog which can be opened with a shortcut of Ctrl + Shift + R (or Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac). When the dialog opens you can start typing a filename and matches are found:
