BH-USB560v2 [BlackHawk] connection with code composer

Hi, 

I am using the following to work with code composer Studio

1)OS: Windows 11

2)Version : 12.1.0

3)Debug Pro : USB560 -v2 System Trace

4)Part #: BH-USB-560v2

Step1. Connected USB Cable to laptop [please see the attached doc]

Step2. Connected MIP160 pin as Shown [please see the attached doc]

Query 1) What should be connected after Inserting MIP160 pin Converter  [target ?]

Step 3: General Setup in code composer , I have selected  [for Executing Hello World Program]

Connection :  BlackHawk XDS560v2 USB System Trace Emulator

Board or Device : OMAP5430

 

Step 4: After creating New Configuration, Launch to debug.

                Query 2) Getting this error after Launching.

IcePick_C_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -183 @ 0x0) The controller has detected a cable break far-from itself. The user must connect the cable/pod to the target. (Emulation package 9.9.0.00040)

 

Query 3) In our project we are planning to use Texas Instruments SM320F28335PTPMEP microcontroller. Will this be Necessary to connect the Target Board or device to connect [ even For Hello World Program]?

 

Plaese Guide me on this and  suggest it is Necessary to use Target Board or Device for executing Simple programs in Code Composer.

    Please the "Cable break" section of:

    A cable break "far" would indicate some hardware connection issue where the debug probe connects to the JTAG header on the target board.

    Yes. CCS requires a JTAG connection to an actual hardware target for basic program load an debug.

    If I understand your question correctly, I believe you are asking for a evaluation board for F28335? Is this correct?
