Cannot connect with CCS3.1.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

Hi:

I am having trouble opening CCS3.1. I am using a Blackhawk USB-560BP emulator. The target is connected and powered on. The emulator LED is green. When I double click the CCStudio 3.1 icon to start CCS, the response I get is "GEL: Error while executing StartUp(): invalid page: IO." When I click OK it comes back with "GEL: Error while executing Startup(): target is not connected." If I go ahead and click OK, it then responds with: "The GEL callback "Startup()" for the target Blackhawk USB560bp - OSK5912 Emulator/TMS320C5500" is still processing. The function could contain and infinite loop. Do yoy wish to pause the processing of of this function and continue?" When I respond with "NO" it opens the CCStudio parallel debug monitor.

Could you please help?

Thanks a lot.

Cheers,

Mushtaq

  • Hi Mushtaq,

Do you have the latest patch for CCS 3.1? Go to 'Help->About' and check the version number. It should say '3.1.30' if you have the latest version.

Which startup GEL file are you using? Are you using the one from Spectrum Digital?

Did you make sure to connect to the ARM first before trying to connect to the DSP?

Did you set JP3 to position 1-2 on the OSK?

    Thanks
