CC4.1 Could Not Connect to TMS320F206

Hell E2E Experts,

Good day.

I am not sure if this is a common issue, but it seems like the majority of the chips have errata that show different silicon errors and how to fix them. I am having a Silicon revision error I believe and I cannot connect to the chip.

The error is something along the lines of "Bad silicon revision" and to check the jtag line and the multiprocessor configuration. However, I do not have multiprocessing on this board. And then occasionally it has a timeout error. I'm not sure what to make of this.

Good day.

I cannot send you anything. Unfortunately, this is an error on a different computer that we have running XP due to the issue with the hardware. There are no error codes or anything of the latter. The only thing it tells me is that there is an issue with the silicon revision, and to check my JTAG adapter or check my multiprocessor configuration, which in this case there is no multiprocessor configuration

You may be aware that this device is almost 25 years old now. The entire tool chain for this device in now obsolete, with no support or enhancements. Was this a setup that was working before? Specifically, is the device you are trying to connect to a known-good device? What emulator are you using? XDS510PP+? A screenshot of the error would definitely help. Hello Hareesh,

The device was last known in good condition. The emulator we are using is the XDS510 ISA. The screenshot would be very difficult for me to provide. I just know that I am having a silicon revision issue and TI never seemed to have any documentation on any possible issues or how to troubleshoot them. I will continue working on this to see if there is anything we can salvage. I have read through those tickets that you previously mentioned and plenty more. Unfortunately, they do not do me any good.

If you wish to close this ticket that is fine. I will continue on my hunt for an answer.

Not sure what you mean by "silicon revision issue". Any revision information will be captured in the device Errata. I have attached the Errata here and there is no mention of any revision information. Based on the information you have provided thus far, I regret I am unable to help you further.
