Hi
We have a leagcy system where in we are using code composer studio 2.2. We are using XDS510USb emulator. I got a new laptop which has windows 7.
Is it possible to install code composer studio 2.2 on Windows 7? We don't want to move to code composer latest version.
Thanks
Raju
Raju,
It may work but we don't recommend using Windows 7 with any versions of CCS prior to 4.
You can try to load Windows XP mode or a VmWare, but keep in mind the emulator device drivers are not meant to be used with virtual machines.

Rafael
Hello:
I am in a similar situation. I inherited a legacy product using two VC5502 DSP. Prior development was done on CCSv2.21.
I tried to resurrect this development environment on a PC running Windows 7 64-bit.
When I try to start CCSv2.21, I see the following popup error dialog box.
I have not gotten past this.

I should add that I am setting up a VC5502 development environment with CCS3.3 on Windows 7 64-bit for development for the legacy product.
For new product development, I am already using CCS v5 on Windows 7 64-bit.
I am also ramping up development with CCSv5 on Ubuntu Linux 10.04 LTS.
Patrick - when trying to run CCSv3 or earlier on Windows 7, try running it in Administrator mode and Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode. You can set these properties in the desktop shortcut properties (or directly on the cc_app.exe).
Thanks
