CODECOMPOSER: CCS: Import failed for project 'project name' because its meta-data cannot be interpreted.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FR2355

Hi Team,

Good day. I am posting this inquiry on behalf of the customer.

"I am having an issue related to Code Composer Studio

Code Composer Studio Version:

Environment Linux

Distributor ID:    Ubuntu
Description:    Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS
Release:    22.04
Codename:    jammy

I cloned one of our projects from GIT but was unable to import it successfully

I am getting the following message:

Import failed for project 'project name' because its meta-data cannot be interpreted. Please contact support."

  • Hi

I don't have much experence on this issue.

refer to this thread: The error is likely due to Laptop1 not having a compatible version of the compiler installed.

  • Hi Xiadong,

Good day. Thank you for your prompt response. Please see the additional input from our customer.

"Okay, thank you. I would like to add more information to this support case. Before I tried to import the project as a CCS project and it failed so I tried to import the project as a “Project from Git” and it worked with no errors this time. But I still have a problem, it would not let me build the project. If I go “Project->Build Project” nothing happens, and the “hammer” icon is grayed which means disabled. Maybe there is a missing path somewhere. I checked under “Project->Show Build Setting” and it is almost empty, perhaps you could help to add the missing stuff so I will be able to build it.

Thank you for your help and time."

Please help to advise. Thank you for extending your support.

    Kind regards,
