Sysconfig 1.15 hangs computer during installation when attempting to download licence from 'suspicious' address

The license text is not downloaded dynamically. If anything, it would be extracted to a local location before displaying it. It is all local.

They are not sure what you mean by "suspicious address". What exactly is the address in question? Any further details would be appreciated.

It was my guess then. The application installer for 1.15 simply hangs firm entire machine for a good few minutes during attempt of installation at licence display dialog on company computer with firewalls and antivirus. Sure you can tell the problem is our tools, but 1.14 had no such problems. 

Also half of the team for unknown reason has problems installing 1.14 and 1.13, so they must always borrow pre-installed executables as a whole.
However their installer is not freezing firm, rather complains with error.

Updated MAC certificate you say? Of the binary?

What is this error that occurs when installing 1.14 and 1.13?

It turns out ALL people in my team had identical problem: the installation freezes at Licence screen (just after you type Next ->) in SysConfig setup.
I have simply joined the pack (I was probably the last person who had no problems with it).
It could be that 3rd party  installation or another modified external dependency rendering the setup entering infinite loop somewhere.
At present me and a few friends have problems with at least:
sysconfig-1.11.0_2225-setup.exe
sysconfig-1.12.1_2446-setup.exe
sysconfig-1.13.0_2553-setup.exe
sysconfig-1.14.0_2667-setup.exe
sysconfig-1.15.0_2826-setup.exe

It all suggests 3rd party library collision. Could we get a binary with more extensive logging?

Which anti-virus/security software are you (and your company) using? 

CrowdStrike among others, tried to capture them for you. 
BTW running as Admin or in compatibility mode back to Win2000 does not help.

Security and update settings are managed in centralized way, is served based, and in general it would be a nightmare to see it unblocked, disabled at 'some time in the future'.
This is a delicate area and it would be very difficult part to proceed, there is no single-click solution.

What is worse, I am expecting it is something related to this automated update process, as the situation regressed with time.

My thinking is that your installer might have been always creating locally certain files and doing strange things on them, which led to situation that  after certain update it has been judged as malicious tampering with the installer.

Another possibility is that one part of library is part of another software component, they are not strictly compatible 1:1 and this component is judged as not necessary to install as it already resides.

HOWEVER we got logs which show us that there are many files that are being created locally with failure as in the logs. This is the starting point - that the application is not checking the failure of its own directory creation and opening, yet proceeding with execution until it hangs.

I am pretty sure it would repeat with your app in debug version printing more logs to the console.

tried from the console

but it saves info only when the application is not crashing (on my home PC).

I have created a ticket for out IT dept, we might have some more logs.

Our IT dept found no interaction between our security tools and this installer...

We are stuck, our IT has spent more time on it, but without dedicated core dump and logging we cannot achieve much - all because the program is not crashing, but hanging.

First off, thank you for all the logs and other information provided. Engineering has investigated them but unfortunately still is unable to determine the cause of the hang.

One thing they suggested is to run the sysconfig installer from the command line with an additional parameter "--enable-debugger". This will run the installer in the built-in debugger for it. You can step through each action to determine at which exact action the hang occurs. Please provide this information (a screenshot of the debugger perhaps).
