EZ430-RF2500 Help Please.

Hello,

I recently purchased the EZ430-RF2500 development kit and have been unable to compile and download the sample project. The error I get when importing the

sample project into CCS is the following:

My computer runs XP pro with the latest service pack.

I have installed the CCS that came on the disc (version 4.0.2.01003)

I have looked around e2e and google with little results.

I did get the latest source code file (Slac139f.zip)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    Hi Steve,

First of all I would download and install the latest production image of CCS which is 4.2.3.

Please try again ensuring you have the correct project imported/loaded and MSP430 selected.

Keep me posted once you have done this.  If you continue to have problems we can go from there.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

I installed the latest version of CCS and the error I was getting is gone, Thanks.

However CCS is still unable to fully resolve the source code files. Indicated by the yellow exclaimation point icon over the file icon.

I checked the macros.ini file and the relative path seems correct ( ../Code). Just to check, I built the project and it did compile, so the compiler include paths

are set up correctly. I just cant open the source code in the editor.

    Any suggestions?  Thanks.

  • Hi Steve,

could you possibly send a screenshot and the steps you used to import the project?

I can then have a look to see if we can determine is causing the issue.   I just downloaded and tried myself with no issues.

I went to Project -> Import existing CCS/CCE Eclipse Project

Then I selected the folder 'eZ430-RF2500_WSM' from where I did the unzip,  and clicked finished.  I did not copy the project to the workspace.

So try this.  You could also see if opening the .project file works.

Please keep me up to date.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

Well thats the problem, its a subtle one.

I was importing the project incorrectly! I was using (Existing Projects into workspace) see below.

I followed your steps and everything seems to be working now. Thankyou!!

  • Hi Steve,

ok glad to hear that did the trick.

    Cheers,
    Lisa
