CCS5 and SD XDS560v2 - Connection Issue

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6678

Hello,

We have designed a custom board that contains several TMS320C6678 DSPs.  Using the Spectrum Digital XDS560v2 emulator, we are able to connect to the devices.  However, after about 5-7 cores are connected, CCS5 reports errors in a cascading fashion stating:

Cannot acquire emulator process Possible conflict for device driver usage (Error -1044)

After this error, it is necessary to perform a hard rest on our custom board, power cycle the XDS560, and restart CCS5 in order to be able to reliably connect to the target again.

In an attempt to isolate the issue, we broke into the JTAG chain after 2 DSPs and retried the experiment.  This time, all DSPs connect correctly, and the connection appears to be very solid.

Has anyone seen this error before?  What could be the root cause, a driver issue, or perhaps a board-level problem?

Any ideas/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!
