CCS Theia 1.0.1 error "Device-id CC1352R1F3 is not recognized" when creating new project

I downloaded "CCSTheia1.0.1.00003_win64.zip" and installed it. No issues.

I wanted to create a new "empty" project for LPSTK-CC1352R using the project wizard but it first needed to download a bunch of things. No issues.

I tried creating the "empty" project again but received a "Device-id CC1352R1F3 is not recognized" error.

What went wrong?

I haven't yet installed CCS Theia 1.0.1, but looking at the "Supported products & hardware" on CCSTUDIO-THEIA only shows support for MSPM0 devices (ARM CORTEX-M0+ MCUS).

I.e. don't think CCS Theia yet supports a CC1352R1F3.

Yes, you are 100% right, it doesn't support CC1352R1F3. I assumed that this new IDE would support everything the "old" one did and more. I was wrong

The upcoming CCS Theia 1.1.0 release (early July) will have optional support for more device families, including CC13x2. We currently have an alpha build that you can try if you are interested. If so, please start a private E2E conversation with me.
