Editor window no longer highlighting inactive code

I have a file where the editor no longer highlights inactive code.

For example, this is how it usually looks:

I have a file where this highlighting is turned off.

How do I turn this back on? (I tried restarting CCS, and tried a few other things, but so far have not found the right thing to do)

A few things to try.

1) Rebuild the Index: https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/users_guide/ccs_project-management.html#rebuild-index

2) Clean your workspace and re-import your projects to it: https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/users_guide/ccs_troubleshooting.html#clean-the-workspace-or-try-using-a-new-one

Sorry, I've done both steps and the editor is still not highlighting inactive code.

Any more suggestions?

Yes, it is only one file.

right-click on the file in the Project Explorer and select 'Index -> Create Parser Log FIle' to generate the log. Please attach the log to this thread.

Thanks. I don't see anything that jumps out in the log. Can you attach a small test case? Basically a project with multiple source files but of which only one file has the issue. It can be your original project or something stripped down. The project doesn't need to build, just able to reproduce the issue.
