rprc file role

Hi,

I'm trying to recompile the mcu_plus_sdk_243x tcp_server example with GCC.

I've got all (@ properties list) relevant libraries compiled with GCC except libc.a and libsysbm.a

Now I see that I also have *.rprc file - witch is not created when I compile with GCC.

What is the role of this *.rprc and when it is being created ?

Hi,

I've asked this quesiton before and I know it has to do with a boot loader.

But does it affect linking with gcc ld.exe ?

Hi Eli,

The RPRC is a TI proprietary format used by SBL to boot the device. SBL is an example implementation which uses RPRC. Users are free to use any format in their SBL to boot the device.

Out2RPRC is a post build tool which is used by makefile system. It converts the elf file into RPRC format which is understandable by SBL.
