XCONF not displaying graphics in RTOS config

Hi,

I hope some one can put me out of my missery. I have imported a TI-RTOS example into my project, when I open the RTOS cfg file using XGCONF it does not display the graphics. I'am using CCS Version: 12.4.0.00007. I have previous projects that open in this version and do display the graphics. I imported the settings from the working project, but no luck.

Thanks,

Richard.

  • Hello,

when I open the RTOS cfg file using XGCONF it does not display the graphics

Do you get any errors? Can you provide a screenshot?

I have previous projects that open in this version and do display the graphics

Which versions of CCS are these? Is the same version of SYS/BIOS and XDCTools being used?

Please note that XGCONF has been deprecated in support awhile ago. It is recommended to use the XDCscript editor.

    Thanks

    ki

  • Hi,

    I'am using CCS Version: 12.4.0.00007, XDCtools 3.32.0.06 and TI-RTOS 2.16.0.08.

I have other projects using the same tool versions that open and show the graphics. I have tried exporting the Eclipse settings from a working project and importing them into the project, that did not work. I have taken the RTOS configuration script from a working project and adding it to this project and that did not work. This project initally was the TCP/IP Echo example imported from the resource explorer. The project complies without issue and I can modify the script manualy, but for my sanity I want/need to solve this.

    Thanks,

    Richard.

  • I can reproduce the issue. I believe this issue is related to:

    https://sir.ext.ti.com/jira/browse/EXT_EP-10876

As mentioned in the thread, the issue does not occur when I try CCS 10.4

Unfortunately we don't have a timetable for when the above issue will be fixed. XGCONF (and TI-RTOS in general) has been deprecated in support hence the priority of such fixes is low.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

I guess my question now is, Does TI intend to discontiune TI-RTOS in the future?

    Thanks,

    Richard.

  • Does TI intend to discontiune TI-RTOS in the future?

I can't speak for all groups within TI. However, I can say that active development for TI-RTOS 6 (which is what you are using) is no longer.
