Code composer for C2000 series on Linux (rather than Windows)

With the latest version of CC being on Java it looks like CC will now run on Linux. (Hurrah.) However, this page seems to suggest that, even thoughit supports Spectrum Digital 510USB C2000, it doesn't seem to list the C2000 parts as debuggable parts. Anyone know what the situation is please?

    Rob,

I am going to move this thread to the Code Composer forum for the experts there to clarify.  Links to this thread will continue to work after the move.

  • Rob,

The current builds of CCS 5.1 on Linux do have C2000 support, however please note that these are still pre-production releases, hence there may still be some issues to work out prior to general release.

Please feel free to download the latest build 5.1M6 and give it a try: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Category:Code_Composer_Studio_v5#Downloads

  • Excellent news, thanks. Only problem is, despite clicking the Linux download, it only  allows me to download a .exe file!

Can you tell me which link you clicked on? The CCS 5.1M6 links that I have tried download either a .bin file or .tar.gz file depending on whether you click on the small front-end installer or full linux image installer.
