MCSA Tutorial Templates not installed?

I am having the same missing template problem with version 5.1.1. I tried the solution suggested by Imtaz, but cannot find the suggested files. The

closest name I find is uia_1_00_03_25.   I am brand new to this can anyone help.....

1_00_03_25 (or 1.00.03.25) is the version of the uia package in CCS5.1.1. This package is located in the correct folder in this version of CCS so this workaround is not required. Can you send us a screenshot of your "New Project" dialog ... the same one MikeH included at the top of this thread?

Sorry System Analyzer does not currently support MSP430 (guess documentation should be clearer in identifying this). We're planning to add support in June timeframe.

I'm confused with your response. Do you mean that Grace will not work with the  MSP430 product line, or it will work, but problems with it are not

supported by TI at this time.

I may have misunderstood your question, I thought you're trying to use System Analyzer/UIA. GRACE is fully support for MSP430, UIA/System Analyzer is not.

UIA is the target side libary for instrumenting your application for Analysis/Visualization in System Analyzer.

Can you clarify what problem you're encountering.

Thank you for your patience. I recently purchased the msp430 launchpad development tool. Before using the tool,

I wanted to familiarize myself with the software. I viewed  the  "Grace getting started video " by David Freedland TI, and followed along step by step.

I quickly found that I was missing the Grace Templates, (see the attachment in my previous message). I am totally new to this enviroment, but have some

small skills with other microprocessers.  I was going to delete CCS and reinstall it, but hesitate to do this as It probably is not necessary.

To use Grace, you need to select a device that Grace supports.

The MSP430 devices currently supported by the Grace product are:

• MSP430G2xx1 Value Line
• MSP430G2xx2 Value Line
• MSP430F20xx Devices
• MSP430F21x1 Devices
• MSP430F21x2 Devices
• MSP430F22x2 Devices
• MSP430F22x4 Devices
• MSP430F23x0 Devices
• MSP430F23x/F24x/F24x1/F2410 Devices
• MSP430F24xx/F26xx Devices    

Thanks for the responses. I was able to solve the problem by deleting CCS ver 5.1.  I went back to the TI dowload page, and dowloaded again.

This time I got VER 4.  The templates are now present, and I am able to proceed wtih the tutorial. I do no know why VER 5.1 was the

original download. I am not going to argue with success. .This is an amazing product,
