Importing Legacy CCSv3 Project into CCSv4.2.4

Hello Mary,

How are you doing the import? Are you importing the project into your workspace or are you leaving it in the original location?

Is the 'main' directory the same location as where the original v3.3 pjt file resides?

Hi Ki-

I’m leaving it in its original location.  Yes, the main directory the same as where the original .pjt file is.

When the tool opens, I had to specify a workspace, so I tried specifying the main project directory.

I also tried importing it into the workspace.

Both methods give the same results - the include path for the Ti/~SupportFiles is mangled.

Hmm, I would suggest using a different, neutral location for your workspace folder and try again...

I've tried that as well.  The include path is still being mangled.

Please tell me if there is a file or files (like .cdtbuild) that I can edit with the correct include path.  This file would need to persist through a build procedure.

You can right-click on your project in CCS and then select 'Build Properties'. Then use the 'Add' button to add the correct path (or the edit button to fix the paths)

Here is a screen shot of the include paths in the project.

The tool looks in the following directory for the .h file:

${EXT_ROOT__Controller}/ControllerFW/TI/~SupportFiles/lib/DMClib/iqMath/src/TI/~SupportFiles/lib/DMClib/iqMath/include

Notice that there is an extra /TI/~SupportFiles/lib/DMClib/iqMath  in the include path.

I have edited the include paths in the places that you suggest, but when I actually do the build, the include paths have additional directories in them.

Now I'm trying to make the project from scratch instead of importing the CCSv3 project.  The include file paths are fine, but it would be a lot easier if I could import the legacy project and have it fnd the .h files.
