Hi,

I'm using the am243x-EVM

I would like to start a PRU timer from within the PRU code.

Can you please write few lines of code to start the PRU timer.

Hi Eli

You can refer to 6.4.13.2.4 PRU_ICSSG IEP Timer Basic Programming Sequence section of TRM

You can find the code in following folder:

C:\repo\1\mcu_plus_sdk\source\pru_io\firmware\common\icss_iep_macros.inc

or you can refer to following code:

iep:

; disable iep timer

m_set_iep_global_cfg_reg 0, TEMP_REG, 0x20

; set starting count value of IEP counter

m_set_iep_count_reg0 0, TEMP_REG, 0xffffffff

m_set_iep_count_reg1 0, TEMP_REG, 0xffffffff

m_set_iep_global_cfg_reg 0, TEMP_REG, 0x51 ; Start IEP timer

Yes it's very helpful.

Is there an example of timer expiration interrupt callback inside the PRU code ?
