CCS newest version fail on update.

Hello,

When I try to update I get:

The link it tries to go in https://software-dl.ti.com but the resource gets a 302 moved response, directing to https://downloads.ti.com and the resource does not exist at that adress.

This is not a bug, but probably admin changed some settings at the repo end.

Best Regards,

C.

  • Hi Can,

      I will forward your question to our CCS team.

  • Hi Can, could you confirm you are using CCS 12.0.0 when you do the check for updates?  For some reason I do not see this issue.

  • Hello AndyW;

    I am using Version: 12.5.0.00007, which is the latest I downloaded recently.

    Here is a screenshot of both errors:

    When you try to update, it fails saying "cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency" and when you click details, a second window pops up, saying "no repository found at https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/CCSv12/Updates/CCS12.0.0.00009_update"

    I took the liberty of checking the resource above with wget, and here is the response:

    I think this is not a CCS error, but a problem with the distribution system for updates. as you see, when you request the resource in question,  it gets a 302 moved temp response, and the new resource it points to (https://downloads.ti.com....) does not have this resource. It could be a web server misconfiguration, router misconfiguration, or some problem with the underlying content distribution network. It could also be the case that, depending on where you are on the internet*, it could be returning these 302's. Then again, I could be wrong, and it might be a CCS issue.

    * [I checked from server in germany, and it had the same results]

    Best Regards,

    -C.A.

  • Thank you for your observations.  I'm still not sure why I don't see the same issue, but I did clear up a potential server side cache and syncing issue.  Would you be able to give it another try and let me know if this helped?
