CCSv5.1 M6 shows only splash screen on Linux

I just installed CCSv5.1 M6 on my CentOS 4.8 box, with the goal of testing a EVM6678 demo board with the XDS560v2 mezz, and whenever I start eclipse all I get is the splash screen and then it hangs.
