Hi,

I'm using the CCS Version: 12.4.0.00007 with am243x-EVM.

What is the difference between hardware and software breakpoints ?

In which cases should I use the hardware breakpoints ?

In summary, hardware breakpoints are needed to set breakpoints in flash memory. They require special resources so there are only a limited amount of them. The exact amount depends on the device.
