LAUNCHXL-CC1352P: Error initializing emulator: (Error -261 @ 0x0) Invalid response was received from the XDS110.

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC1352P

Hi! I am trying to run an application (dmm_154sensor_remote_display_app) using CCS Cloud to the CC1352P1 Launchpad.

When I try to run it (by clicking "Debug Project") I get the error message: "Texas Instruments XDS110 USB Debug Probe/IcePick_C Error initializing emulator: (Error -261 @ 0x0) Invalid response was received from the XDS110. (Emulation package 9.13.0.00201".

What may be causing this error? And how can I fix it?

Thank you!

  • Hi Eduardo,

This is a commonly faced issue with device boards such as your Launchpad, which usually occurs due to causes like improper connection with XDS110 USB connector, device hung state, poor power supply connection, invalid board configuration (such as missing or improper jumper connector heads on top of the board). Resetting the device, power-cycling it or disconnecting and reconnecting it usually solves the issue if all else is fine.

I would also encourage you to check other related forums across the TI E2E forums and see if those suggested checks work for your case. Ensure that the connections are proper, and if the issue still persists, please revert below with further details.

  • Hi!

Just to feedback... I was using a hub USB connected to the Launchpad.

I then connected the Launchpad directly to the notebook and then it worked.

    Thank you for the support.
