MCSA Live not removing session upon exit

I may be confused about how MCSA is supposed to work (still working through the tutorials), but when I "Remove" a Live session, then restart a new Live session, the old data collected from the previous session shows up in the System Analyzer log window. According to the User Guide:

MCSA sessions—including live sessions, binary files, and CSV files—

remain open even if you close all the views of the session including the

Log view. You may want to close a session, for example, in order to open

a different live session or a binary file, since only one of these can be

open at a time.

In order to completely close a session, choose  Tools > Multicore

System Analyzer (MCSA) >  session_name > Remove from the main

CCS menu bar.

However, when I "Remove" the session, the old data still shows up.  Am I mis-interpreting this?

Thx,
