create statistic library

Hi,
can I only create a statistic library when I open a new project and set the Output type from Executable to Static Library? Why can't I do it with a important example project (the Output type is grey and not changeable)?

I use F2800137.

Hello Holger,

You can only specify the project type upon project creation. It is not possible to change the project type afterwards.

I do not know the exact underlying specifics but my understanding is that it is bit challenging to have the tool do a good conversation. It is a feature that has been occasionally requested in the past. However the demand for such functionality is quite rare.

is it unusual that customer wants to create a library?
Is it easier with Theia?

It is unusual that a customer wants to convert an existing project to a library. The recommend way is to create a new library project.
