Hello,
I got a question regarding XDS560v2, meaning of "System Trace" is not clear to me. The question is: is it possible to use XDS560v2 in order to collect trace data from c66x (instead of ETB) as described here:
http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Debugging_With_Trace or here http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Trace
Currently I am using XDS560 + TracePod (I am mostly interested in function profiling), but does XDS560v2 got the same functionality? I have not found anywhere clear answer for that. I have only found some info about ability to collect STM trace - but as far as I know this does not correspond to trace data (program flow and timing), am I right?
Best regards,
Leon
Leon, you are correct. We cannot use the XDS560v2 to collect trace from DSP devices such as the c66x. The XDS560v2 only supports System Trace from STM devices.
In that case I have got one more question - is there such a tracing device compliant with c66x on the market? XDS560T has been discontinued recently: http://www.blackhawk-dsp.com/products/USB560T.aspx
Best regards,
Leon
The 560T product is discontinued and a replacement product is planned for the end of the year.
The new Trace receiver would be much cheaper with twice bandwidth and larger trace receiver buffer storage capacity.
I am also interested in the topic for XDS560T. As it is discontinued, what is the replacement product called? Seems it is already released at the end of last year.
