CCS 12.6 failed to install

Hi,

I cannot install latest versions of CCS - 12.5 and 12.6

Installation on Windows 10 Pro

McAfee Endpoint Security in place (cannot be switched off)

Offline installer is used.  (Web installer cannot be used - failed to obtain any packet)

Installation attempted also as an administrator.

Java support by Liberica JDK 17.x or 21.x (both tried)

OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 21.0.1+12-LTS)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 21.0.1+12-LTS, mixed mode, sharing)

The problematic package is com.ti.emulation.pack.win64_12.6.0.00029.jar

This pack caused installation problems with previous releases (up to 12.4) also but those were resolved by installing the above mentioned Java support.

However with 12.5 and 12.6 this packet fails the whole installation. You cannot ignore this error so the installation finishes excluding the mentioned pack..

How this can be resolved?

    Unfortunately, McAfee (along with Kaspersky) has historically given us the most trouble in regards to CCS installation. If you can't even temporarily disable it, can you at least whitelist the CCS installer and everything related to it? 

    What device are you planning on using with CCS?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the reply.

    Unfortunately I do not have a control over McAfee except "Update" and start "Scan". Configuration is protected by system administrators.

    But also there are no reported blocked or quarantined items.

    We are using CC2662R1 for wBMS platform.

    CCS 12.5 and 12.6 comes with a new compiler in place.

    What helped me for this version of CCS (12.6) and CCS_theia (1.3):

    Update MSVC packages to the latest updates.

    Run the installer "As Administrator"

    If stops with Warning message -> hit "Retry"

    Note:

    Both installers fail with ti_emupack package. This needs to be investigated. If "Retry" step does not help, one could not install CCS at all!
