Problems with CCSV4 updates

I allowed automatic updates to occur within the CCSV4 application a couple weeks ago.  Within the picture below, the dialog box on the right represents the updates I allowed.  Later in the process I received the "Duplicate Conflicts" dialog box to the left in the picture below.  This particular dialog states:

“If you continue with the update/install, the resulting configuration will contain duplication conflicts that may cause parts of the product to be unusable.  Do you want to continue?”

How do I avoid the potential adverse effects of this update?

  • Brent,

You can ignore this warning.  It has to do with the way some of our target content packages are put together.  Eclipse really doesn't like having plugins located outside of the main Eclipse folder.  You will get this warning any time you have more than one copy of a target content package like BIOS installed.  In CCSv5 we are working to split the target code portion of these packages apart from the Eclipse portion so that this warning does not occur.

    Regards,
