TMS320C5535 eZdsp Quick Start Problem

I was working through the Quick Start "manual" and ran into a problem with section 6 (CCS Configuration Instructions), step 8 (Target->Connect Target). I get the following error message:

C55xx: GEL Output:

StartUp()

C55xx: Error connecting to the target: (Error -600 @ 0x0) A required dynamic library could not be located. The library isn't on the search path. (Release 5.0.429.0)

I installed in a different directory than the default (Vista claimed there would be a problem -- I think it was creating subdirectories). I suspect either a path problem or a missing library file.

Hi Joe,

This is unusual.

I will move your post over to the CCS forum to see if they have seen this before - "A required dynamic library could not be located".

Whenever I install or update CCS on Vista/ Win7, I run "as administrator".

Let us know how it goes.

I had the same problem it was cased by not reading the quick start guide correctly .You have to use the normal USB2 P2 connector via an extension cable, For connecting to code composer . NOT the mini USB connector . This cured my problem any way. :)
