Project With only assembly (.s) file, in ccsv5

Hi guys,

I have installed ccsv5 and i was planing to use it for practicing arm assembly language.

when i created a hello world i was able to build and run it on Beagle board using xds100v2.

But when i create a project , and added .s file to it it was not building the .s files and it was showing error

fatal error: no input files

Is it possible to have project with only .s files(assembly) ..?

Hello,

This was a known issue with earlier v5 builds (SDSCM00040000) but it should be fixed in the latest v5.1 builds. What is the full version number of you CCSv5 install?

i was using CCS_5.0.0.00095.

now i am going to download CCSv 5.0.3.00028 form the below link

is this one will work?

You will need CCSv5.1. I recommend the latest CCSv5.1 build. 5.1.0.08000 (M8 - beta 2).

Hi ki,

5.1.0.08000 (M8 - beta 2) version is not available for linux.

So , i have downloaded the 5.1.0.07001 version for linux and it worked. thanks for info.
