My understanding was that CCSv5 would be able to use my existing CCSv4 license until it was released. I just installed the CCS v5.1 M8 and IT DOES NOT RECOGNIZE my license.
How are we supposed to evaluate your Beta if this is not functional?
I was previously sucessfully using CCS v5.1 M6.
BTW, CCS v5.1 M6 WOULD NOT uninstall. Completely failed.
Sorry, false alarm. RE-starting CCS yeilded a license product. This is STILL a bug, though.
If I specify a valid license file just after startup (after installation,) CCS should recognize a valid license and say "Licensed" at the bottom of the CCS perspective (like it does after a re-start.)
Gerry,
So you are saying you ran CCSv5.1 beta 2 for the first time, pointed it to your v4 license file and it was reporting unlicensed until you restarted CCS?
John
Gerry,
The team has reproduced it and is tracking a defect (SDSCM00041879) to resolve for the final 5.1.0 release so that a restart is not necessary.
Regards,
John
