Thank you for the link.

A new workspace fixed the problem.

For the record, deleting cache files and cleaning the workspace didn't improve matters.

BTW, the fsclean utility doesn't seem to work correctly:

So I just deleted the .TI-trace folder which didn't seem to have any negative effects.

Unfortunately it fixes it only once.

Upon my second attempt to run PC Trace the dialogue does not appear. I think it's impractical to create a new workspace every time.

Just FYI, the following appeared when I closed CCS. Not sure if it's relevant.

Furthermore the problem is not confined to my project, the same happens when I use a TI example (empty_am263x-cc_system_freertos).

The trend now seems to be that it works once in any project/workspace then not at all.

Problem confirmed to occur in 12.5, 12.6 and 12.7 with 'empty_am263x-cc_system_freertos'.

Good to hear. Yeah it is a common issue with the old hardware analyzer trace tools

Yes, it would be nice. But full transparency - the old hardware analyzer trace tools have been deprecated in support so there are no plans to fix this. Actually, CCS Eclipse in general is being deprecated in favor of our CCS Theia IDE. The trace tools there are much improved and the upcoming CCS Theia 1.4.0 release (end of this month) will have support for AM2x devices and ETB trace.

That's fair enough. I think this would therefore be a good reason for us to check out Theia next month.
