Can't change XDCTools version in CCSv5.1 M8

Hello,

I have a project that needs to be built with XDCTools 3.20.08.88 instead of the version that comes with the default CCSv5 installation.

I first tried to get that previous version from the update manager in the help menu but it looks like the update feature is not fully functional yet, at least not for getting this old XDCTools version.

So my second approach was to select the desired XDCTools version by right clicking on the project and selecting: Refactor -> Upgrade RTSC Product Version -> More -> Select tool from file system and choosing the XDCTools 3.20.08.88 root directory. When I do so, I get the following message:

This was working before with CCSv5.1 M7.

Is there another workaround for me to force using another XDCTools version?

I checked that there was a change in M8 that is causing this, therefore I would hold off the update until this gets fixed.I couldn't find a workaround to set the tool, but I will get back to this thread if I find a way to do this in M8.

This should be resolved in the release candidate. CCS M8 has trouble discovering target content packages including XDC Tools.
