Tool/software:

I was going to see if the Serial Terminal had been improved for 1.4, but could not find it.

I thought it was in the VIew->Terminal->Serial Terminal, but that does not exist.

AFAICT, the "Terminal" menu command only opens a command line console window.

I checked the user guide and "Serial" only shows up as "Serial Number"

Hi Keith, I believe it can be opened by navigating here: View > Console > Serial Console

However, the serial terminal does not seem to send data, even an echo does not work. PuTTY works fine.

Hi Keith, could you please provide more information about what device, project and serial console settings (baud rate, com port, etc.) you are using?

As per my luck recently, when I tried to reproduce the problem, the terminal is working fine. I think it is better than when I tried it before, but I forget exactly what issues I was having...
