CODECOMPOSER: Project Properties Tree Collapses When Changing Build Configurations

Part Number: CODECOMPOSER

Tool/software:

When intending to change a compiler or linker setting for all build configurations, it is made laborious because the properties tree collapses when selecting a different build configuration and I have to browse for the same option multiple times.

This does not happen with STM32CubeIDE. Please arrange for the selected properties page to remain static when selecting a different build configuration.

  • Hi Kier,

As you are aware of, we are deprecating support for CCS Eclipse. Hence this will not be addressed in a any future CCS Eclipse release. This issue does not occur with CCS Theia, though the reason is that switching build configurations from the project settings dialog is not currently allowed.

    Thanks

  • Hi Ki,

I acknowledge that my request to change something in CCS Eclipse is just wishful thinking but sometimes it can elicit a workaround from you that I hadn't otherwise thought of.

I'm (we are) between a rock and a hard place. CCS Eclipse will not be updated but CCS Theia is not fit for purpose for multicore project debugging. I must use the former so all I can do is raise these issues as I find them, if only for the benefit of my subscribed colleagues.

Understood. We certainly do appreciate your great feedback. Even if we can not address it in CCS Eclipse, we definitely will keep it in mind as we work on CCS Theia.

Please note that we are making many multi-core debug improvements (groups, sync stepping, etc) that will be available in the upcoming CCS Theia 1.5 release planned for the fall.

    Thanks
