Hi, just received my TI launchpad msp430g2231 few days ago. I downloaded CCSV5 and installed. When i debug, there's an popup which says the all connection with msp430 is stricted with free license.

I tried to get a license however i dont have the activation ID, i cannot find the 16 digit id in the launchpad box or in any email sent from TI.

where can i find it?

    Victor,

    Typically the only free versions that allow using MSP430 are the code size limited (currently only available in CCSv4) or the 30-day evaluation license (extensible for more 90 days). Can you try to select (edit) the evaluation license in CCSv5 since it allows you to use it for evaluation purposes? The code size limited licenses for CCSv5.1 will be available when it is launched later this year.
