Error 0x80000240/-122 from TMS320C5515EVM

Hi all!

Recently my Spectrum Digital TMS320C5515EVM (ASSY 512700 Rev. 8)  no longer allows a JTAG connection, neiter via the Spectrum Digital Emulator nor via a XD100v2. I get the follwoing Error message, whenever Code Composer Studio tries to start a Debug session:

Error connecting to the target:

Error 0x80000240/-122

Fatal Error during: Initialization, OCS,

Can anybody tell me what that means, and, more importantly, what the problem may be?

Many thanks in advance!

Axel

  • Do you think the EVM is still working? It is hard to believe both Spectrum Digital and the on-board XD100 not working.

    Regards.

  • Hi!

It its of course possible that the EVM is simply defect. However, it worked flawlessly with an earlier installation and I do not see how it could have broken.

    In my oppinion, its either

    1. An Hardware error such as a misplaced jumper or unstable connection (I checked for those and saw nothing, but...)

    2. An Hardware error such as a broken osscillator or defective C5515 (I dont see how they could have broken..)

    3. An Software error such as an defective installation/update of CCS (I reinstalled everything while trying to solve another problem, so there is a change that could be the cause)

Any Hints on how to exclude or prove one of these possibilities would be much appreciated!

    Thank you,

    Axel
