Hi all,

 

We have CCS v3.1-platinum edition which was received few years back to work along with DM642 EVM. Now we are planning to move to Netra EVM (DM816x/C6A816x EVM)-  http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdxevm8168We would like to renew the license of CCS (to recent release) for use with this new EVM..

 

But unfortunately we are not able to find  “Purchase part number”, which is required for renewing the CCS license. We were only able to retrieve “Code Composer Studio Service Code”. We also don’t have any other information on the type of CCS license we hold on.

 

So we have the following queries

 

1)      Could you help us in retrieving the licensing information of the CCS we hold?

2)      Could you clarify on how to renew the subscription and upgrade CCS v3.1 release to CCS-recent release and cost involved in doing so?

    Hari,

    It would be way more expensive to try to renew your license than to just buy a new license.

    I would suggest downloading the CCSv5.1 beta for now (that is the recommended tool for DM816x).  The final 5.1 release will be in a month.  You can use a 90 day license until the final release is ready and then just buy CCSv5.1.
