CCS4 keeps on reinstalling itself

Hello,

I wanted to upgrade CCS4 from 4.2.3 to 4.2.4, so I selected the options in the Help menu to "find and update" existing componenents.

It then downloaded the packages and installed them. Now, every time I try to run CCS4, it just re-install the same stuff over and over again. CCS4 never starts, every time I double click the icon to start it, it just reinstall the same stuff and stops.

How can I fix that?

    Hi Fabrice,

     

    Could you possibly send us screenshots and any log files/error logs you see?

    After doing the above, if you can, could you try uninstalling and a fresh installation of the latest version?

    Hi Fabrice,

    I thought I would check whether there is an update to your enquiry.  Have you managed to get the issue to stop?  Have you tried 5.1?

    Here we go again. I made the mistake to try to update CCS4 to the latest version, and CCS4 again keeps re-installing itself.

    Last time the only cure I found was to uninstall and reinstall it. That's probably what I need to do again this time. That's pathetic.

    Hi Fabrice,

    appologies that you have found things so inconvenient.  Unfortunately I have not seen such an issue here which makes it extremely hard to try and work through.

    I hope a fresh installation from the latest posted version will run ok for you.  I will close this case for now, however do not hesitate to come back should to the forum here should you require further assistance in future.
