I assume this happens only when you make a selection in the autocomplete list. This is likely related to the clangd parser used by CCS Theia. It is unrelated to the CCS Eclipse issue you referenced since CCS Eclipse uses a different parser.

This issue is related to the clangd parser. When you make a selection in the autocomplete list, any required imports will also be added to the file. If you don't want autocomplete suggestions from clangd, you could disable it in the settings.

Go to general settings, Go to Extensions > Clangd on the menu on the left, then you can disable "Enable Code Completion". This would disable autocomplete suggestions from Clangd and only provide basic C/C++ autocomplete suggestions. Note that this could also disable other useful autocomplete suggestions.


Regarding you other issue of some typedefs not getting syntax highlighting, could you provide an example, and possibly a screenshot so we could investigate further?

It seems that when the type name ends with  "_t"  it is highlighted otherwise not.

The inconsistent highlighting is also a result of the current clangd parser. We will address this limitation in the same ticket Ki mentioned above.

After further looking into this issue, the inconsistent highlighting for type name ending in "_t" is expected behavior. Clangd highlights it for increased readability as "_t" is reserved for types in POSIX standards, and is also commonly used in C for typedefs.
